Show ONE OF OLDEST RESIDENTS DIES IN s L thomas grover 85 a utah pioneer of 1847 and one of the oldest residents of morgan county comity died sunday evening at the home of his daughter mrs hanna grover hegstead in salt bait lake death was the result of general debility due to his age mr grover was born bom in lavoo ill a town famous fanio us in the history of the L D 8 church november 17 1845 two years later he arrived with his parents in salt lake valley with the group that founded ded the city of salt lake the old family home was tn in farmington and from there mr grover came to to morgan where he was one of the earliest settlers sett lera while in morgan in he was baj called to dixie to help ea farlish headquarters of the church he served as a ml there for three and a half years H worked for many iny years as aa a ina and helped in the construction ot of the L D S temple lie he also worked in the construction of various rail roads including th tile old utah central for many years lie he has made his hia home lome with ills daughters mrs lula heiner and miss rose grover in morgan last week lie he went to salt bait lake city for a visit and was thera at the time of his death he JL is survived by thirteen children mrs mr hanna hegsted of salt lake thomas grover driggs idaho idahl daniel wells grover mrs evelyn worlton mrs airs A J heming rex burg idaho mrs john dewey and mrs george wheaton of ogden mrs mra parley hatch of bountiful james grover miss rose rase grover mrs joseph farnsworth worth and mrs mra lula lul helner heiner of morgan and charles charlea grover of magna A sister mrs mr pauline brown and two brothers brother walter and albert grover all of salt lake also survive funeral services will be held wednesday at 2 P M ln in thid the north ward chapel |
