Show 31 1 I A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY SPECIAL PROGRAM the great field of leisure time makes the M I 1 A a powerful or for the service in carrying the gospel principals into dally daily life iffe and promoting pro mating the cultural standards of the members of the church through careful study and several years of experience our splendid corps of M I 1 A officers have come into fuller understanding and appreciation of the values of leisure time and have correspondingly pon grown in ability to carry forward a wholesome invigorating program of activity we again desire to impress upon our executive officers the thought that upon them rests ithe the response ability of directing this program tor for the church and that all of our re workers lets get together and put over this wonderful work our first duty and responsibility Is to provide an avenue of expression tor for every boy and girl every man and women within the M 1 I A we do not do our full duty dut y until all ot of these have been called into our program to do the things that they desire to do to speak to sing to play to act to dance and to do them in harmony with the spirit of latter day saints ideals one of the outstanding events of the M I 1 A season Is the stake honor day to be held this year on march at which time Is to be presented a grand exhibition of all contest events in which delegates selected by the wards appear honor day will take the place of 0 the former M L I 1 A day and should be made a never tobe to be forgotten occasion characterized by loyal and enthusiasm and followed by un ull precedent stake unity it should be a day of cultural uplift marked by the expression of outstanding talent and giving promise pr ornise of futi titue rf dev elopement this big activity program began october and will end march the all wards in the stake should see that their program Is well developed and ready for award day within wathla the wards by the above date it Is the desire of the stake M 1 I A that this work Is not delayed please have your ward winners ready for STAKE HONOR DAY on march 1931 may there continue to grow a broader vision of our grent great responsibility and an ever increasing developer elopement developement dev nent in our recreational and leasure time express slon sion A red header wood pecker tries to tackle the tin root roof of the tabernacle the din Is great but the damage small mats our knockers after all |
