INJURED being Case of Giant Powder Explodes at the Slide While Being Thaw- ed Out on a Steam Shovel. at the Itah Cement Co.'s quary at the Slide, the latter part of last week, through a case of giant powder, which was being thawed out on the steam shovel, exploding. Two Creeks were the most seriously injured. They are still in the hsopilal at the Slide. Two more of their countrymen were likewise quite seriously hurt. Superintendent Crabby, David Richards and Walter Wilson were all hurt but not seriously. .Seven men were injured, Frank Hopkins, who was run- ning the steam shovel, was stand-- , ing nearby, but escaped without a scratch. Fred Kramer Leaves for the East Having completed his business of his recent sale of his property in Morgan. Fred Kramer, accompanied by his family, left 'for Ohio this week. Mr. Kramer has been resident of Morgan for the past eight years engaged in farming, having possession one of the best farms in the county. This farm he recently sold for .$10,000, hence his departure to seek other fields. Mr. Kramer has been a progressive citizen of Morgan during his sojourn. Tie has also been connected with the Southern Pacific for twenty years occupy ing-t- he position as locomotive engineer, after which taking up 'his farm.
