Show r J jB OBITUARIES Ri s 1 Y f. f L Lr W Lyman 64 prom- prom anent Civic and Church worker work- work t er and a former Ephraim mayor died at 1230 am a.m. Saturday SatI Satt Sat- Sat I t in a Mount Pleasant hospital of complications following fol fol- fol- fol r lowing surgery Mr underwent major abdominal surgery on Jan 21 and seemed to be recovering recovering re rc- re- re covering nicely especially so soon soon soon on Thursday and Friday Jan 28 and 29 Then late Friday afternoon a severe pain developed developed de dc- de- de in his chest Mrs Wil- Wil was with him and call called d a nurse who summoned his physician from Ephraim For about an hour and a half Mrs states the doctor worked with him trying try try- ing to relieve the intense pain Finally he calmed down and as Mrs puts It just kept getting more and more calm until he passed away Bishop Glendon K Stubbs conducted the funeral held In Inthe inthe inthe the West Ward chapel Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday Tues Tues- day afternoon with a very large larg audience in attendance people from all over the state Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Prof Harry A. L Dyreng sang Whispering Hope Speakers were Dr W. W E.
