Show SHOTS FROM THE MOUNTAIN By KENNETH TUTTLE Conservation Officer Utah Fish and Game Dept N v Of lately we hear and read stories of people and their apathy toward crime and in in- 1 justice What has happened happen d Is the present generation so confused that they no longer care what is right or wrong Could it be lack of courage There must be some sort of moral decay that is creeping upon us because of increased population or the easy living trend that tends to free us from having to depend upon each other for our existence It appears that we are in for a asad asad asad sad time when we get to thinking thinking thinking think think- ing we can get J tw Y along without f. f the world or that the world f r if ff does not need lus us 21 1 n Ho a f 4 The church ig e- e M t ihas has noticed this Mr J Tuttle and has an originated gina gina- ted a plan to set aside one night a week for family night When families fall faU apart it is easy to see what can happen to society y I have noticed that sportsmen sportsmen sportsmen sports sports- men the last while have shown this apathy t toward ward the wasteful wasteful wasteful waste waste- ful destruction of our wildlife wildlife wildlife wild wild- life resources As Conservation Conservation Conservation Conserva Conserva- tion Officer I continually find evidences of poaching and willful destruction of both fish and game It is the same with private property yet sportsmen sportsmen sportsmen sports sports- men and citizens alike have been present or have observed these violations and have made no effort at all to stop the offender Some even give false information and try to hinder an officer from doing something about it They say they dont don't want to get in in- A current example is the illegal shooting of elk and deer out of of season With as many hunters and people out in the mountains they cant can't help but observe these shameful shameful shameful shame shame- ful violations to their wildlife wildlife wild wild- life me and yet they t turn n their back and walk away some even run They wont won't even make an effort to salvage the game or to notify y an officer until it is too late They just dont don't want to get involved Our spring range rides will start at Mayfield Corral on April 7 We will ride both North and South Hollows On April 8 we will meet at atRed atRed atRed Red Point south of Manti and ride to Six On April 9 we will meet at Madsen's ranch north of Manti Man Man- ti and ride to Ephraim On April 10 we will meet at the Forest Yard in Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph- Eph raim and ride from the S Sto Sto Sto to Pigeon Creek If you are wondering what the deer eat when the snow is deep in the mountains or cant can't understand why the deer spend so much time in the valleys come and join us on these rides and find out |
