A Keeler of Jersy- Jersy shore Pennsylvania and Lucien Lucien Lucien Lu- Lu cien Peterson of Sterling had hada a pleasant time visiting on Thursday and Friday The two r became buddies in a fox hole in the Philippine Islands in I 1945 while fighting the Japanese Japanese Japanese Japa Japa- nese in the area of Manila After the surrender they were among the first troops of the Infantry Division to go to Japan landing at Nagoya Naval Air Base The pair were then assigned to Headquarters Co with the Infantry Army under under un un- der Gen Douglas McArthurs McArthur's command In early 1946 they became separated Mr Keeler reenlisted reenlisted re en listed and has been in the armed service until now He and his wife and three children children children chil chil- dren flew from Oahu Hawaii landing in San Francisco where they picked up their automobile and were driving east to Pennsylvania when TOd they came carne to Sterling to visit the Petersons The day of their arrival Lucien had just been released from the Hospital in Salt SaIt Lake A phone call from his wife brought Lucien home at once so the two families could get ac ac- Lucien and John reminisced old times well into the early morning hours The left the following following follow follow- ing day to make their home in the eastern states with a promise that another 18 years years would not pass without seeing each other Mr and Mrs Arnold Hecker and two children Arlene Bishop of San Diego have been visiting at the Jen Chapman Chapman Chapman Chap- Chap man home Mrs Maggie Thomas is visiting with her daughter and son-in-law son Mr and Mrs Bob Sorensen of Sandy Mrs Ruby Jensen a and n d daughter Donna spent the weekend in Salt SaIt Lake City Visitors at the home of Mr and Mrs Pat Hansen this weekend were her mother Mrs Rodney Cowley of Venice Venice Venice Ven Ven- ice and sisters Mrs M.
