Show ELIZABETH WHICKER DIES elizabeth starley whicker born at sussex county england aug 18 1859 died at her home in fillmore juno june 15 1928 at the age or of 68 years tho the d deceased was converted to the 1 L D S church and came to utah with her parents and her brother J john ohn starley at the age ot of 8 years ifer her mother diet died however immediately bately after arriving in salt lake city and the father and two children ren came on to fillmore where elizabeth lived with an uncle mr air james starley and his wife the father and son living together at a very early age sho she went to deseret to work where she met isaac whicker to whom she w was as married in salt lake in n they lived in deseret until 1894 when they moved to fillmore mrs airs whicker was a faithful member of 0 the church attend attending hig regularly as long as her health permitted she was a good wife and mother devoted to her homo home and family always a hard worker she was able to do her own housework until lust just a month or so ago she arose and dressed herself ate her breakfast and was sitting up when death occurred while she had been ailing with stomach trouble tor for some time the immediate cause of her death was a weakened heart ifer her husband preceded her to the grave six years ago last december two children have also preceded her those who survive her are hattle W partridge of fillmore eliza erickson of delta francis hatton john whicker zina hatton and henry whicker of fillmore also her brother john starley funeral services were held in the second ward church sunday at 2 P al at which don C wixom wm D Al melville elville and T dark clark callister Cal llster ot of fored words ot of condolence to the bereaved family musical numbers were rendered by the second ward choir with a duet duct by mr air leo jacobs and daughter and a solo by mrs airs edna L day all her defendants including her six children tour four son in ill laws one daughter in law and 21 grand children were in attendance at the services the granddaughters acting as flower bearers and the sons and son in laws lawa as pall bearers |
