Show WILLIAM N MCBRIDE DIES SUDDENLY last saturday afternoon the whole community was shocked by the sad thol th william N mcbride had suddenly and without w fth out warning fallen alien lead dead in hi his I 1 lum lumber be yard just a few minutes before his death he had been down town kowm on business and scarcely had he had time to return home it seemed when the information came of 0 his death mr mcbride upon returning homo home had gone out into the yard to help some men working for him start up the planning mill and it was while at this duty that death came upon him apparently from heart trouble mr air mcbride Is survived by his wife wafe pd the following children miss aliss jane mcbride mrs clara shaw i newton eugene paul and charles and misses aliases helen millie and d elenor ono one child having proceeded him to the great beyond he is also survived by the following brother and sisters R C mcbride of ogden mrs dean melville of fillmore mrs katie king of salt lake city and mrs elenor jones of berkley california ire he has one graid grandchild chilo the attle ittle daughter of mrs shaw mr mcbride was born in fillmore april 24 1871 1371 and has lived here all of his life ot of some 52 years ile he Is the son of john N and cathrin felshaw mcbride McBri dek tuesday of 0 this week some of the most impressive funeral services evor ever held in this community took place in respect to our highly esteemed citizen and friend mr air william N me ale mcbride services were commenced with prayer by brother alonzo robison hobison appropriate music was rendered by the joint ward choir under the direction of F earl stott the speakers were aseal fisher A A kimball and J A melville jr bishop parker robison presided and made a few closing remarks tho the benediction was pronounced by don C WL alom bom at the fillmore cela I 1 detary where the remains were interned the grave was dedicated by T dark clark callister the speakers spoke to a crowd of mourners and respecting sympathizers which filled the fillmore ward chaple to over flowing of the many good qualities of mr mcbride they told first of all of his interest in and big hearted rare care for his family told how he always had his bos around him and while giving them everything that their hearts desired that would be tor for their welfare yet taught them the principles of industry and economy making them in tact fact partners with him in his many business interests mr mcbride can bo be pointed out as an example of an ideal father of a large family every one of his children honored respected and loved him and to be with him constantly was greater pleasure tor for them than seeking the company of neighbor boys and girls their own age mention was also made of mr air me mc brides charitable attitude toward his fellow men how he never denied those really in need and how in his business dealings he be never took advantage of a man because of temporary financial embarrassment in tact fact all who have ever had dealings with him know that in apparent denial to the business maxim of credit men that the time it Is most desired that a debt be paid is when the debtor is least able to pay it mr mcbride succeeded by the policy of at never crow crowding dinglo those really deserving of at credit how often have men been thankful to jack mcbride when after a shame faced confession that they could not meet an obligation to him at the time appointed he has cheerily told them that it wait wag all right and extended the time dy by this brotherly business attitude willlam N mcbride has been one of the greatest assets this community and county ever had in placing them on firm financial ground many other qualities of this good man were dwelt upon by the speakers but an evidence which breaks louder than words of the high esteem in which ha Is held was tho the large flow eral offering A separate automobile was required to convey the beautiful assortment of elaborate boquete and wreaths from the chaplo to the flowers came from all parts ot of the state as tokens of respect for this good man william N mcbride was one of the greatest financial leaders and industrial du boosters boasters bo the county has ev or er had he was vice president of the fillmore rill more commercial and savings bank and was very influential in putting t g thet thriving business on the b basis is upon which it now rests being the highest local official of 0 the enterprise ter prise he was a pioneer in the lumber and building material business ile as of this section not only importing large quantities of 0 lumber and other material but also operating a saw mill of his own in the range east of this place ile he was deeply interested in agriculture owning several ot of the best and largest farms in the valley and being anil and executive official of the fillmore irrigation company and also ot of the now new sevier river canal system in eastern millard county he was treasurer and one ot of the most energetic members ot of the millard county farm bureau since the entrance ot of the new railroad line into these parts he had also branched out into other business interests such as ag dealer in coal etc whenever there was an industrial or business movement that needed and active and capable leader willlam william N mcbride was always the man called upon to perform the function it will be hard indeed to find a man or men able to take his place in this community and for years to come the need ot of a man ot of his type will be a constant reminder ot of the great lose we have suffered in the passing ot of william N mcbride following is a resolution ot of respect and condolence by the millard county farm bureau WHEREAS god in his wisdom has taken from us wm N mcbride thus depriving the community ot of one of its most highly respected and useful citizens his family of a loving and devoted husband and father and the millard county farm bureau of an energetic faithful and efficient officer BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the life board of director of the millard county farm bureau that we acknowledge the very valuable and efficient service wm N mcbride has rendered as treasurer of this organization and that we excess gratitude tor for our good fortune in being able to associate with such a splendid type of man be it further resolved that we express our great sorrow at his untimely death realizing that in his passing wei we have lost a most valued officer honest industrious efficient generous sympathetic one whose gospel was a gospel of service one of excellent judgment and with the courage of his hig convictions do ba it further resolved that we ey press our heartfelt sympathy thy to his family in this their hour of great sorrow and that a copy of these
