Show I1SH AND OA.MK BILL The Finn and Game bill, known aa house bill N'o. 89, Introduced by Robert White, Jr., of Beaver county, ihariman of the house committee on fish and game, In the largest bill that has been Introduced In either branch of the State legislature. It provides for everything connected In anyway with fishing or hunting, from the appointment ap-pointment of the game commissioner to the catching of Buckers and bull-hoads. bull-hoads. It flxos the price of licenses and the size of the hooks. It establishes estab-lishes game reserves and forbids shooting on highways. In fact it covers cov-ers the game question from A to la-Bard. la-Bard. The drat section says that the game commissioner shall be appointed by the governor by and with the con-si.nt con-si.nt of the senate. He shall not be a member of any hunting, shooting, or flahlng club. He shall not be removed re-moved from office except for cause. Section two gives him immense power over the game and hunters of the state. He may close streams or lukei?, shorten hunting season, or, in some cases, declare open season. At times he mny allow the killing of elk, beaver or otter. Section four creates a game fund out of monoya derived from the sale of licenses, fines, forfeitures, sale of game etc. The commissioner, with consont- of the board of examiner, mny spend this money for the benefit bene-fit of ths hunters and flBhers of the state. 8oetion six says the salary of the commissioners Bhall bo $4,000 per annum and all traveling expenses. Section seven says it shall be unlawful un-lawful to hunt or fish without first procuring and having ON YOUR PERSON a proper license. Licenses are divided into seven classes with different prices and privileges. pri-vileges. Men and boys over 16, eltlzens of the United States, and residents of Utah general licenses for all hunting hunt-ing and flBhlng 2.0o. Boys 12 to 16 and women and girls over 16 $1.00 No person under 18 shall be allowed al-lowed to hunt deer. A person not a resident of Utah, hut a citizen of the United States, may obtain a license for fishing only for $3.00. A fishing and small game license may be Issued to non-resident citi-Kns citi-Kns of the United States for $6.00. A non-resident big game license may be issued for $10. A license to fish is not required for males under 13 or females under 16 years of age. The issuance of a receipt in lieu of a license is unlawful, subject to a fine of not less than $59. Section eleven provides for draining drain-ing waterways containing game flsh. Section twelve provides for fish ways or ladders at all dams and inflicts in-flicts a punishment of $100 per day for its violation. Section fifteen declares it to be Illegal Il-legal to flsh with spear, grab hook, snag hook, Jack light or other artificial arti-ficial light, set line, net or seln, except ex-cept as herein provided. It provides that suckers, carp and cat fish may be caught in the Beaver river below and including the Mlnersvllle reser- voir. It provides that not more than one polo and line, with two hooks, may be used by the fisher, held in the hand. Open season for fishing game fish s from June 15 to November 30, both days inclusive, and' from four in the morning to nine at night. No trout less than seven inches long shall be kept. Not more than ten pounds and one fish, or more than forty pounds can be taken in one day. Trolling with single line held in the hand without pole is allowed In Puffer lake, Strawberry reservoir, Fish Lake, Pangwlteh lake and Beaver Bea-ver lake. Salmon; eggs on a hook, not smaller small-er than a number six hook, may be used except in Fish lake. Strawberry Strawber-ry reservoir and Pangultch lake. Section sixteen says, it shall be unlawful un-lawful to serve in any restaurant or hotel, or to sell or offer to sell any I specie of trout or other game flsh. Section twenty provides for a license li-cense for guide's prices $5.00. No guide shall take fish or game while acting In the capacity ot guide subject to a fine of not less than $50.00. Deer Season is fixed at from Oet-ober Oet-ober 15 to 25, both dates inclusive. One male deer with horns at least Ave inches long is the limit. Section twenty eight: Grouse, sage hens etc. may only be lawfully killed whenever the commissioner determines such birds are not in danger of extermination. He may declare an open seaBon. Section twenty nine provides for seven game oreserves where game may be protected and kept for breeding breed-ing purposes Section thirty extends the duck season two weeks. Tho open season for water fowl will now be October 1 5 to January 15 in Washington. Millard Beaver, and Iron counties, with a limit of i eight geese or twenty-five ducks, or a total of not to exceel 35 !n any ono day. Section thirty two prot:wt all kinds of song birds. Section thirty nine says that all Indians off their reservations are subtest sub-test to this law. Section forty one prohibits homing hom-ing in seroplcne. Section forty three forbids the shooting of fire srms from automobiles automo-biles or other vehicles, or the discharge dis-charge of any Are arm on or within fifty feet of any public highway.
