Show Wm. Roberts of Minersville, passed pas-sed away iu a hospital in Salt Lake City last Tuesday afternoon, after a very short illness with appendicitis. The Ladies aid of the M E. church will hold a food Eale at 2:30 o'clock Saturday, September 29, at the Jefferson Jef-ferson Mercantile company. Mrs. S. S. Atkin entertained at a dinner party Thursday evening, given giv-en in honor of her little daughters, Shirlen's fifth birthday. Just the relatives rel-atives of the little guest were present, pres-ent, which were, eighteen in number. She was delighted with her many beautiful remembrances and the evening eve-ning seemed all too snort for those present. Games were enjoyed after the dinner. Mrs. Clairmont Nichols spent last week in Beaver with her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Fother-ingham. Fother-ingham. Joe Murdock was called " to" Salt Lake on account of his sister's illness. ill-ness. Mrs. Charles Sportsman is recovering recover-ing from a tonsil operation.
