Show ONE OP THE UTAH PIONEERS DIES Mrs. Mary Ann Harris Limb, daughter dau-ghter of Thomaa and Eliza Davi3 Harris, was born at Preston, England, En-gland, April 6, 18 46. Her mother dided when she was but 12 years old, leaving her to do the mother's part for 6 children. She spent her childhood days in the vicinity of Shakespeare's home in Stratford. She came to Utah, in the fall of 1868 55 years ago. After reaching New York they traveled on the 1st train that crossed the Piatt River, coming the remainder remain-der of the way with ox team. Her father afterwardl moved to Morgan, where he lived until his death, August 12, 1884. She came to Beaver by ox team, driven by Fred Limb, who afterward after-ward bacame her husband, November 17, 1868, being married in the Endowment En-dowment house, Salt Lake City. To them were born 8 children namely: Wm., who dlied in infancy; Mrs. Mary Young of Huntington, Mrs. Lottie Hodges, of Beaver; Mrs. Nellie Puffer of Beaver, who died: 4 years ago; Mr. Fred Limb, of Garland, Gar-land, Utah, Mr. Robert Limb, and Frank and Lester Limb, all of Beaver. Bea-ver. She was grandmother to 45 grandchildren grand-children and 24 great grandchildren. Her husband preceded, her we and one-half months to the beyond. She was one of God's noblest women, having a host of friends. Her disposition was one of loving kindness, kind-ness, ever ready to 'help wherever, whenever and however she could. Her relief society duties were ones of joy to her. Sister Ellen Morgan Mor-gan waa her relief society companion compan-ion for 30 years. She was always on hand to assist in church duties; always had a kind word for all, never speaking ill of anyone; a most patient sufferer, having ill health for many years. She was a loving wife and vagec-tlonate vagec-tlonate and devoted mother. She spent the winter at Milford where she died March 27, 1923. The funeral services wre held at Beaver in the L. D. S. church, March 30, Bishop George Palce conducting. Oration Wm. Morgan. A chdir consisting of Claude C. Cornwall, Gus Fernley, Mrs. J. F. McGregor and Mrs. Will T. Morris, rendered thg following selections: "O, My Father." "Lead Kindly Light." "Come Unto Me.'" "Lead Me Gently Home, Father." Mr. C. F. Harris gave a brief sketch of the Stirling character of Mrs. Limb. Dr. McGregor, Frank Tolton, Bp. Palce spoke of her noble life. Mr. Tolton spoke of her as a neighbor. Hyrum White pronounced the benediction. bene-diction. The grave was dedicated by Bishop Geo. Paice. |
