Show TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD OX MAY 5 Present at the meeting: Ed Markshei'fel, C. T. Martin, P. J. Evans, D. A. Baxter and; C J Mclntire. Mc-lntire. Absent none: With reference to claim of Clin ton & Lemon, for repairs on the town pump motor, Mr. C. T. Woodbury Wood-bury requested that the board take action on the amount to- be allowe'd for this work. Mr. P. . J. Evans introduced in-troduced a motion, seconded by Mr. D..A Baxter, that the bill be allowed in the sum of $180, motion carried. At the request of the board, Mr. Wm. Dobson appeared with reference referen-ce to the claim of his father's estate for damages to the Dobson property caused by the town water tank ov erflowing and flooding the said property. pro-perty. Mr. Dobson claimed that damage in the sum of $350 had been done. After some discussion, a com promise was effected whereby the Town allowed Mr. Dobson $120 in full settlement todate for all damage dam-age to said property. It being understood under-stood and agreed that the sum of $120 be applied: on water rents due the Town of Milford by Mr. Wm. Dobson and the Dobson Estate. Both parties being agreed' as the condition condi-tion above set forth, Mr. D. A. Baxter Bax-ter moved, and the same was seconded second-ed by Mr. C. J. Mclntire, that the clerk be instructed to settle "the claim with Mr. Dobson on conditions as stated. Motion carried. Minutes of the last 'meeting were read, and upon motion duly seconded secon-ded and carried, were approved and signed by the president of the board. A written opinion from Mr. Sara Cline, Attorney, on the legality of the action taken by the board of trus tees with reference to sale and purchase pur-chase of town warrants and bonds was read, and ordered filed. A letter from Mr. T. M. Ivory, attorney at-torney for the Latey & Williams Company, demanding that the Town pay the said company a v rental of $350. for ground on which the municipal mu-nicipal septic tank is located, or prepare for suit, was read.
