Show THEY TAKE SNAP SHOT 0FT0M MIX -Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Steenbock returned re-turned Monday from an eight day trip through southern Utah and Arizona. Ari-zona. They had as their companions, on the trip. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Thompson, of Cedar City, manager of tne Dixie Power company., their daughters. Athens and Joyce, their son Dale and Master Ellis Corey. The first night was spent on the Pan-guitch Pan-guitch creek. One night was spent at Bryce's, two in the heart of the Kaibab forest, at Jacob's lake and V. T. Ranger's station. The Grand canyon was visited and while in the Kaibab forest their tents were pitched pitch-ed next door to the commission appointed ap-pointed by the secretary of agriculture, agricul-ture, to investigate the relationship between the number of deer on the Kaibab forest and the forage. Friday night the weary travelers found themselves at LaVerkin, ready ' enter that und-escribable place, "Zion Park." Two days and two nights were spent in this beautiful park. The men took several hikes, but the women were satisfied after exploring ex-ploring the Temple of Sinawava. j Tom Mix and his band of cow boys, about seventy-five in all, were camped! at the Wiley camp and Sunday Sun-day afternoon, both grownups and children enjoyed watching this company com-pany make part of a picture, which we were told would be "The Orphan' Th young people got some kick out of the fact that Tom posedl especially es-pecially for our kodak. One of the most remarkable things we will not soon forget, was the deer at V. T. Park. At shnset hundreds of them came out of the forest to feed in the open, around the station. |
