Show OH! BOY! U. P. A. C. MINSTRELS The Union Pacific Athletic club has just completed arrangements with Mr. Kyed, an old-time minstrel man, for a big home talent Minstrol show, to be given here early next month. Mr. Kyed ' tne gentleman who so successfully staged the one given last week at Las Vegas, Nevada, for the railroad boys there and that city's entertainment lovers proclaim it the biggest and finest thing ever staged there. Mr. Kyed informs the News that this is to be a real old-time minstrel affair, with six ends, Interlocution, balladlsts, song and dance artists, making up the regulation minstrol First part all In black face, then the second part will consist of specialties special-ties of various kinds, dancing, vocal and instrumental, and closing with a grand prize cako walk, just as we used to see it 25 years ago. At least eight couples will compete com-pete for the prize and it Ib the Intention Inten-tion of the management to bring from Las Vegas the winning couple there, to compote against the winning win-ning couple here on the 2nd night's show, and see whether the Burnt Cork Irish from what they called the "Dam Site" minstrels are as good by a Dam Site as they pretend to be. Taking it all In all. it looks aH If Milford is in for a big entertainment treat, and In the words of the press agent, this Is apt to be the ragglost, jazziest, snappiest, potboun of syncopated synco-pated syncopation ever dished out anywhere at any time. |
