JOLLY STITCHERS The Jolly Stitchers Stit-chers met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Antone Johnson. Needle work and conversation made the afternoon af-ternoon pass very pleasantly. Misses Olive Johnson and Mildred Killaru served refreshments to club members Mrs. K Levi, Mrs. P. Levi, Mrs. Eb-Tanner, Eb-Tanner, Mrs. Dave Tanner, Mrs. J. Lang, Mrs. Ralph Quayle, Mrs. N. C. ; Schow, the hostess, and invited guests ; Mrs. Root, Mrs. Hedges, Mrs. E. j Smith, Mrs. Stoker, Mrs. Litchfield. BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY The Swastika club had a Back to School party at the M. E. church, Thursday night. An old-fashioned school, where new fashioned readin' and ritin and rithmetic were taught by Prof. Fred Cottrell, caused all present pres-ent to have a very jolly evening. All present were supposed to dress a,i kids and some very clever costumes were worn. School lunches in paper sacks, and coffee were served by the committee, Mrs, Caivert, Mrs. Gad-berry. Gad-berry. Mrs. Gray and Miss Lyman. FAREWELL DINNER About twenty twen-ty Milford business men gave a farewell fare-well dinner at the Milford hotel last week, Thursday evening, as an expression ex-pression of their friendship to George Knutson and Jacob Noorda, two of our citizens, who were leaving Milford, Mil-ford, Mr. Knutson to go to Dundee, 111., where he will have charge of the Yeomen's orphan farm; Mr. Noorda to Ogden to visit with mends and rel ative.s, then to southern California tu spend the winter. Both of these men, with their families, have made many friends during their stay in Milford and the hope was freely expressed at the dinner that they would both faru well in their new fields of work, coupled cou-pled with the wish that they might return some time t0 Milford. FOR DELLA KIRK Mrs. J. W. Kirk gave a party in honor of her daughter's daugh-ter's 16th birthday, on the evening of October 2, in the Milford opera house Talk about fun well there was enough to make everyone appreciate the efforts made by all concerned, to i ., Tim maK& ldb evemue wco. i presents were very beautiful and also useful. A. were the honor hon-or guests at a party given Thursday night by the outgoing officers. The hosts and hostesses were: Mr. and M.rs. Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Pool, Mr. and Mr;. A. Fotheringham, Mrs. Joe Murdock. Mr. Joest, Mr. James Clay and Mrs. Ray Outzen. After the installation of officers a dance was enjoyed and punch and ' wafers served. The new officers are President.
