Show SWAN SONG 1 of the ! KIND WORDS CLUB The Kind Words club, which has been a Milford institution for the past four years, agreed last Wednes- day to go out of existence. The meeting of the club, which was held at the Atkin hotel, last Wednsday noon, was one of the most enthusiastic of recent months. Sam Cline was chosen chairman. Jo. Murdock, for the committee on school medals, reported that more than sufficient money had been raised to purchase the medals for prizes for the best orations and work in the schools; and that money had been turned over to Professor Baird. Mr. Blumberg was associated with Mr. Murdock on the committee. Prof. Baird reported that the mnoey had been put in the bank as a , special medal fund the balance to be used for the purchase of medals med-als for the next school year. R. D. Zo-ok brought up the question ques-tion of organizing a chamber of commerce, com-merce, and after much discussion, it was agreed that on next Wednesday an organization would be formedl and officers elected. A committee on by-laws, composed of S. S. Atkin, R. D. Zook and J. Blumberg was appointed, and thus with the formation of this new organ lization, the Kind Words club will pass out of existence. It is hoped that a large nuniber will be present in the work of organization organ-ization and election of officers. You are invited. |
