Show MACCABEE RALLY The Maccabee rally which was announced an-nounced in the Press, was an unqual-iffedl unqual-iffedl success. The Beaver opera house was literally liter-ally filled with a crowd of interested citizens and the program was carried car-ried out with great credit 'to the committee, com-mittee, as well as to the individual performers. Wm. T. Boyle was chairman and Prof. Will T. Morris officiated at the piano, and the community singing was directed by T. R. Kelly, state manager of the Macacbees. After America hadl been sung by the great audience, the invocation was given by E. A. Willden. Then everybody joined in the rousing old Maccabee Hallelujah song, led by the thirty members of the Denver Maccabees. Macca-bees. In his moat happy and pleasing manner J. F. Tolton welcomed the Maccabees and especially S. W. Hal!, western manager of the society, paying pay-ing a glowing tribute to1 the work of the Maccabees in Beaver, and wishing wish-ing them all succors in their work of providing protection for the families of their members. A brief response was made by T. R. Kelly, state manager of the Maccabees, Mac-cabees, who spoke with dteep feeling and emotion of his association with the Maccabees and other citizens of Beaver. S. W. Hall, of Oakland, California, who was guest of honor, was intro duced by Chairman Boyle, and gave a short address on "Fraternity," which will be long remembered by those who heard him. A musical prologue depicting the court of Autiochus IV was given by a quartet, consisting of Kent Morgan T. R. Kelly, Chas. Morgan and Roland Ro-land Reese. Then came the great historical drama of Judas Maccabeus, given in three tragic scenes and tableaux. The costumes were magniflcant, the members mem-bers of the staff well trained and the lines given in a most creditable manner. man-ner. Special praise is due Edward Now-ers. Now-ers. as Judas Maccabeus, the great Jewish patriot, as well as K. N. Thompson as King Antiochus and K. A. Willden in I he character of Kba-zer, Kba-zer, a doctor of the law. T. R. Kelly portrayed the character charac-ter of Mattathias, father of Judas Maccabeus. The dance that followed heat any similar function held in Heaver for many months. The Peerless orchestra was superb. The crowd was a capacity capac-ity one; and the Inst feeling e.s:c among everyone present. The Maccabees has a tent of one hundred menibeis in Heaver, with insurance in-surance in force of more than ?12.r.-i'"l. ?12.r.-i'"l.
