Show BEAVER COUNTY HAS PROGRESSIVE FISH-GAME CLUB The opening of the fishing season is rapidly approaching and the followers fol-lowers of Isaac Walton were never faced by brighter prospects for a real first-class season. Through the efforts of the Fish & Game club and tho cooperation of the j State Fish and Game department, thousands upon thousands of small trout were planted In the lakes and streams of the county and already fish are being taken up to the lakes as fast as the roads and the snow will permit. About 12,00 fingerllngs Brook trout, were taken to the little reservoir last Monday and planted there. The club has obtained a long-time I lease from George Low on a location .about a half mile above the reservoir reser-voir for a new reservoir, where about j 40,000 of the little Brook trout now in the hatchery, will be planted. Tho new reservoir will be about two thirds as large as Kent's lake, and will add one more beauty spot to the many already in the Beaver mountains. moun-tains. t j The work on the ttem, which will Impound the water, is already nearly j completed, and a large number of I Beaver county sports will go up there ;next Saturday to cut brush and clear the rubbish off the bottom of the proposed lake. They will also rlf-raf the new dam with stones taken from the banks. The California quail which were brought into the county a few years ago are multiplying very rapidly and jsoon there will be quail hunting for a. short season each year.
