Show Three Drowned In Denver Flood Denver, Colo. Three persons were drowned and damage amounting to many thousands of dollars resulted Saturday night when cloudbursts in this section turned small streams Into raging torrents. The McNamara family fam-ily were preparing to retire when they heard the roar of the aproaching waters wa-ters in Dry creek. James McNamara, 21, called to his mother and two sisters sis-ters to follow him. James and his sister, sis-ter, Mary, 17, fled, but Mrs. McXamara and Martha stayed to save a few personal per-sonal b. ng'.ngs. When they did leave the se a wall of water swept them away, before James could more than attempt their rescue. The bodies were recovered in the outskirts of Denver. Englewood, a suburb, was submerged under five feet of water when Little Dry creek, which runs through the town, rose suddenly after a heavy fall of rain. . |
