Show BROADCASTING StNGING BIRD Broadcasting a singing bird before be-fore noon, when cats and dogs in homes are asleep and liable to be awakened, may not prove to be good policy. Recently when a "mocking bird sang to 'Betty' and 'The Old Man cf the Rivers," at KGO, trouble, happened hap-pened all over the map, according to reports 'sent into, the station. "Felix, our black cat." wrote one radio fan, "awoke from mousey Ireams this morning and straight.-way straight.-way dived into our loud speaker, when he heard a mocking bird singing sing-ing to Betty and the Old Man of tlK' Rivers in the playlet you broadcast." Another wrote: "Our pet terrier always sleeps near our radio. Tbis morning he awoke with a start, w'.i 'i, he heard a bird singing, and trien to tear our radio to pieces, he, was sn mad " "Guess I'll l.avo to tell the boss he'd better keep those blamed birci.i off the air until after lunch." ohscrv -d the man who reads the mail at KGO, as he tossed half dozen reports cf trouble into a basket. |
