Show I PROGRESS BEING MADE IN ST. GEORGE OIL FIELD J. F. Walker, president of the MidAmerican Mid-American Oil Co. came in from Ogden Monday night and intends leaving again today. Work at the well, south of this city, is going better since the new 10-inch casing was put down. : Two 12-hour shifts are running, making mak-ing from a foot to 18 inches of hole per hour. The News does not know the depth of the hole, as this information informa-tion is not being given out . I Uzona Continues Drilling The Uzona Oil Co., the pioneers in i the St. George oil field are making , steady progress with their new well : on the- Bloomington Dome. The drill ! has got out of the very hard flinty ! ' limestone and is now in better mater-: mater-: ial for drilling. 1 The Virgin Field The Utacal Oil Co., K. M. Doan, 1 general manager, has three wells on ; pump with a total average weekly production of 125 barrels. This com-: i pany expects to bring in a new well j today. j The Virgin Petroleum Co., Harry : j S. Stonehill, general manager, has ! its deep test well down 970 feet and ! is casing the well, 8 1-4 in. casing in cement, to shut off a large flow j of water. Washington County News. |
