The shippers were the St. Croix, one car; the Lady Bryan two cars and the Wild Bill two cars. The Milford Copper in the Rocky district has increased its force and is now shipping a car a day. In the Beaver Lake district, extensive exten-sive development work on the Galena, Ga-lena, the Beaver Copper and the Independent In-dependent Silver Is progressing steadily with some promising results. especially on the Independent Silver. The old Horn Silver mine after forty years of steady production, is still sending forth its share of ore, andl the Quad Metals is still a contribution. contri-bution. In the spring work will be resumed resum-ed on the Red Warrior and its companions. com-panions. The Cedar Talsman owners will spend a few thousand dollars in development de-velopment work as will several other owners. From tho present outlook it will not be long before Milford is once more the center and headquarters of a hustling mining industry. Many oldl-timers are rejoicing at the prospects pros-pects of once again seeing the steady stream of teams hauling the precious ore to the railroad. |
