Show NAD A NEWSLKTS The earth quake which occurred here Monday, May 14 at 5 o'clock, was the topic of conversation last week. There were two separate shocks, so severe that the houses shook so that windows and dishes rattled. Even those living in houses built of railroad ties and cement experienced the same shock. Presumably Presum-ably the elements underlying Hot Springs were disturbed, causing only a local tremor. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Couch have moved from her homestead on the west side to Mr. Couch's on the east side, near Latimer. LeRoy Elliott made a flying trip to Salt Lake, Provo, Castle Gate the first of last week. Mrs. Mary B. Lewis enjoyed a visit vis-it of a week with her daughter, Mrs. V. C. Johnson at Milford. Sheriff Leigh of Cedar City, and family were Nada visitors on Monday. Mon-day. The dance at E. M. Colvin's was largely attended by Milford , Nada and Lund people. George Harter and Son furnished the music violin and organ. Mrs. W. M. White, Miss Drier, the Culmsee family and LeRoy Elliott were In Lund on business last week. Robert Bonner went to Miners-ville Miners-ville to see to the disposing of his wool, which he will sell with the Beaver County pool. Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Johnson of M.llford, were calling on old friends here last week. J. W. Dinwiddle who works on the B and B. gang.m been spending a few days at home. |
