Show Science Fears Another Shakeup Hilto, T. H. Fear that an earthquake earth-quake of major proportions will shake the whole island of Hawaii ana do serious damage was expressed here by scientists watching the eruption erup-tion of Kilauea, the volqano thirty miles from Hilo. The explosions within the volcano apparently have relieved but little the gas pressure, which is largely responsible for the violence of the demonstrations, the observers said. Hilo was shaken Sunday by earthquakes following Saturday's renewed outbreak of the volcano. With the crater there is a constant angry roar. At night hydrogen hy-drogen gas in the clouds adds to the remarkable scene. . |
