Show News Notes at the Milford High Schoo With the league games approaching approach-ing the horizon, the Tigers are preparing pre-paring for many grueling battles. It is practice morning, practice noon and practice night. If Hard labor is the winning factor in a gtuue, our team should be every time victorious-. And with this ambition in view the coach has arranged for the last two practice- games. So tomorrow morning we bid good luck to the Tigers. Ti-gers. The games are to be played on January S and 9. Panaca, whoso valor val-or has remained unchallenged by our team, this year is to witness the first play Friday night. We are certain our boys will emerge with flying colors. col-ors. Las Vegas, whom the Tiger.i whipped last Saturday, is to play the second game; and if our team won their first game with Las Vegas, they can surely be victors the second; and we echo again. The next night the team playeil their eighth practice game. If tho previous game had been exciting this was simply thrilling. The game started start-ed with a vigorous spurt and ended In a rush. The first quarter saw La Vegas) one point ahead and tho rooters root-ers becoming wild. But they made only one more point In the next quarter quar-ter and at the signal for the flrat half, Milford was 6 points and Las Vegas 4. Thereon Las Vegas steadily made basket after basket. The third quarter Las Vegas was ah"ad and thereby only strengthened the Tigers determination and endurance to win. Milford made the first basket In the third quarter and from then on, tho Las Vegas team didn't ever get a look in. Several brilliant baskets and time was up and Milford had won.
