Show PIERIAN CLUB HOLDS REGULAR MEETING The Pierian club met at the home of Mrs. L. G. Clay Monday evening with Mrs. Clay presiding. Mrs. Young read, "He Put the Engine En-gine Heart into 'We," from the Mentor. Men-tor. Mrs. Wilson "We" from the Reviews, Re-views, both articles were about Col. Lindbergh and his aeroplane. Mrs. L. G. Clay gave the English lesson, which everyone took active part in. Interesting current events by Mrs. Steenbock. Mrs. Asentha Pool was elected to membership in the club. Mrs. Steenbock gave a report of her visit to the soutthem division of the Federated Woman's club at Cedar City. Mrs. Harry Wood told of an interesting inter-esting visit to the home of William Henry Monk in England, composer of the words to the hymm, "Abide With Me." Those present were Mrs. R. B. Young, Mrs. D. A. Baxter, Mrs. Ed Bardsley, Mrs. Otto Steenbock, Mrs. Vena Wilson, Mrs. L. G. Clay and Mrs. Roy White. Mrs. Harry Wood and Mrs. Bruce Allyn were guests of the evening. The next meeting will be at Mrs. D. A. Baxter's, September 26, at eight o'clock. |
