Show CASTLE WINS AN EASYVICTORY The first preliminary tor the Fireman's Fire-man's benefit last Friday evening, was a boxing bout between Ranson and McKeon and was full of action. The second was a boxing bout between be-tween Tanner and Jack Turley and surely showed a lot of cleverness. The special event was a wrestling exhibition between Frank Walker, and Kenntf Hollis. Walker is a pupil of Art Smertz, the intermountaln welterweight champion, but Kenny blocked every move and showed that he absorbed quite a Ipt of wrestling while working out with Castle. It ended with no fall. The main event between the local man and Randal Hicks, of North Dakota Da-kota followed and Hicks at no time proved a dangerous opponent for Castle. The main feature for Hicks was his strength, ami he came out of sev-01 sev-01 al dangerous holds by main force. After twenty-five minutes of wrej:- ling the first fall was given to Car-tie Car-tie on a scissor and arm lock. The crowd gave Hicks a good sen t off but he was unable ta get behind Castle, and after several attempts at toe holds, in which he was nnable to go through with them, Castle seize?, another scissor and arm lock ana punished him until he conceded the fall at the end of fifteen minutes. Castle has challenged Mike Yokei for a return and we shall undoubtedly undoubted-ly see the Hermit of Jackson Hole in our city in the near future. Jack Reed, the popular Ogden man will meet Castle at Caliente In" the near future, and a record crowd is expected, as Otto Olsen has spared no pains to make it a success. |
