Such an officer means more money or more taxes and we have enough of the last, so let's work together and make it a habit that our hoy or girl is In school on school days, and make it so uncomfortable for 'hem when they are sluffing, that they prefer getting the learning habit. hab-it. Don't let them stay home every tine they have some trivial excu- . or because it is nice weather; too many get in the habit of following the line of least resistance. To develop de-velop character it is necessary to follow fol-low the hard path. Anyone can lie around sunning themselves on a pleasant day, but it requires grit and determination to study and work when nature's forces are drawing us outside to bask in the sunshine like lizards. When a student Is kept out of school, send an explanation. When a student is not studying at home, ask the principal.
