Beaver Poultry Association. ary 1923, the following persons met at the State Bank of Beaver County, at the request of members of the committee, for the purpose of preparing pre-paring tentative plans for a county fair during the fall of 1923 George Mitchell, J. F. Tolton, John P. Barton, Bar-ton, N. B. Neilsen, John R. Murdock, H. A. Christensen, E F. Sherwood, and Abe Murdock. All present expressed themselves as being enthusiastically in favor of a big fair this fall. The first question considered was the best date to hold the fair, some of the persons present thinking that the 1st week in September Sep-tember would be the best, while others thought the second week would be better. On account of the members present being equally divided, divid-ed, we decided to refer the matter of the date of the fair to your honorable honor-able body. In considering this question ques-tion the date of maturity of crops common to this locality should be considered; and also the advantage financially in holding our fair first, Instead of following our neighboring counties. We next considered the organization organiza-tion necessary to handle the fair, and decided to elect an executive committee com-mittee from the entire county, consisting con-sisting of 7 members, 3 of whom should be appointed from Beaver, and one each from Milford, Miners-; ville, Adamsville, and Greenville. Wei recommend that J. F. Tolton, John' R. Murdock and N. B. Neilsen be the i members on the executive committee I from Beaver, and that the other towns name an executive committee-! man at once, and that on the com-( com-( Hlption of the personnel of the execu-' execu-' : tive committee, they choose their own president and other necessary - officers. I It is also recommended that the "ocessary committees, supervisors, I other officers details and organi-i organi-i nation be loft to the executive com-f com-f mittee. It is recommended that the com- mittee organize as soon as possible , and get things under headway for a big county f,:ir. It is recomemndod that eavh man , present here today pledge himself to j aid in every way possible the execu- tive committee. Very Respectfully, I submitted : George Mitchell Dan Lybbert Abe Murdock.
