Karl S. Carlton has just completed a new well on his desert entry just west of the railroad, near the old smelter. Bybee Brothers have their new hay derrick in operation. I Charley Baxter has. been brushing ;and burning brush on his new SO j east of the Heslingtou place. He in- lends to put it in alfalfa. He will use water from the well on the chicken ranch. Mr. Kator has brought his teams and tools from Beryl and is rapidly planting alfalt'a on the old Berkhei-mer Berkhei-mer place. Mr. A. Brown, formerly of Delta, has purchased 120 acres a mile and a half south of Milford, and will put it under cultivation as rapidly as he can. Bert Rys man has just completed a new well on his plaice, two miles south of town. Harry Blow has a new well on his property, southwest of Milford. Messrs Lukin, Haskell, Brown and Hyssman are constructing a new power line to supply electric power o that part of the valley just sputh of Milford and east of Beaver river. That means several new farms will be developed in that part of the v: ley at once. The Telluride Power company is doing most of the work. This branch line will open up quite an extensive territory. Tho recent visit, of the Lions club to the pumping district, shows the interest, of the Milford people in the development of this part of tho val- It'.v- C. F. Hubbell has jus' installed a new pumping plant on his well and is planting 40 acres, mostly to ul-I'alfa. ul-I'alfa. A new road is being planned to run directly south from Milford right into the very heart or the pump ing district. |
