Show SERVICE HELD FOR ELECTA DORRITY i INTERMENT WAS MADE IN THE MINERSVILLE CEMETERY I THURSDAY Funeral services for Electa Dorrity Vance were held at Minersville, Utah July 14, 1927, at 3:00 o'clock p. m. Bishop Geo. H. Eyre presided. Opening song: "Jesus Lover of My Soul," by choir. Opening prayer by-James by-James Woods; song, "In the Upper Garden," by Vivian Rollins and choir. Remarks by O. A. Murdock. Remarks by Hartley Greenwood. Duet "The Rosary," by Eloise and Hallie Murdock; remarks by President J.. F. Tolton; closing remarks by Bishop Geo. H. Eyre. Closing hymn, "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows," by choir. Benediction by Brother Lew Griffiths. Burial was at Minersville Miners-ville cemetery, the grave being dedicated dedi-cated by Bishop Eyre. Electa Dorrity Vance was born at Beaver City, Utah, May 14, 1870. She was the daughter of G. A. Murdock Mur-dock and Elvira Howd Murdock, and was married to F. M. Dorrity of Kanosh, Millard county, September 6th, 1888. To this union were born 11 children, 9 of whom now survive. Mrs. Earl Alverson of Stockton; Mrs. Harris Zabriskie of Minersville; Marion Dorrity, of Stockton; Gideon and Chester Dorrity of Ruth, Nev.; Mrs. L. H. Drake of Los Angeles; Mrs. W. O. Barton of Paragoonah; Mrs. C. R. Crawford of Milford; and Lasca Dorrity of Stockton She wa smarried to Thomas Vance of Stockton April 14, 1926. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. L. E. Murdock of Minersville. Four sisters, 2 brothers, 17 grandchildren, one great-grand child, and numerous reatives and friends. The old brass latch is still on the door of the Pacific Bank, but inside are plate glass and bobbed haired stenographers. From Worchester (Mass.) paper. |
