Show LETTER FROM HEADQUARTERS 145 ARTILLERY Headquarters 145th Field Artillery Camp Kearny, Cal. August 1, 1918. To the Mayor of Milford, Milford, Utah. Dear Sir: On behalf of the Regiment and myself, I want to take this occasion to expressyto you our sincere thanks and appreciation for your staunch and loyal support of our band in its recent concert tour of the state. Due to your efforts, and to the efforts ef-forts and the enthusiastic co-operation of the various public officials, committees and sub-committees of the state, this trip was a wonderful success, not only in a financial way, but also in the spiritJt aroused In the hearts of our Utah boys when they learned that their state is standing stand-ing loyally back of them in their fight for democracy. On account of the fact that we are leaving in a very short time for duty overseas, I would ask that you convey con-vey to the public officials, committees and sub-committees whom you know had a part in making this concert tour a success, the sentiments expressed ex-pressed in this letter. Sincerely, WILLIAM C. WEBB, Colonel, 145th Field Artil. |
