A Victory medal and ribbon to be worn by the soldiers of every nation who served with the allied armies in the world war, has .been agreed upon by the" interallied commission. com-mission. A description of the medal is contained in a caTjle from General Pershing which has been turned over to the Fine Arts commission for execution exe-cution of the design. Samples of the "Rainbow" ribbon, which is made by intertwining the colors of the allies, linve been forwarded by General Pershing. While all the medals will follow the same, general lines, each nation is authorized au-thorized to prepare its individual design, de-sign, which, when worn with the Rainbow Rain-bow ribbon, will take the place of the service chevron in the cases of men who saw service overseas. |
