Show UTAH IS OPPOSED TO GOVERNMENT OPERATION The Utah public is overwhelmingly overwhelming-ly opposed to radical government experiments ex-periments according to results of a questionaire on the subject of government gov-ernment operation of industries sent out to the editors of this and other states of the country. Of the 32 editors ed-itors who replied, 31 or 97 percent said that the citizens of their communities com-munities opposed the government's going into business in competition with the citizens. A summary of the results of the questionaire from the country at large shows that this opposition to government operation is general. Out of 5154 editors replying. 41-66 41-66 or S6 per cent voted their communities- against the proposition. This is an increase of 3 per cent in the proposition as compared with the results of a similar questionaire sent out by the Press Service company com-pany a year ago, in connection with the question of turning the railroads back to their owners. . The papers heard from in the pres ent poll are 1857 Republican: 13,")0 Democratic; 1458 Independent and 462 miscellaneous. Not only did po-litieal'bias' po-litieal'bias' play no part in the replies but sectional differences seem ta have no appreciable effect on the result. re-sult.
