Show REMEMBER THE SEED PLOT This is the month when all foreign varieties and weeds that allow their seeds to thresh out in the grain should be hand-pulled from the wheat and oats seed plots. Just, before be-fore the grain is ready to cut, enough individual plants to make five pounds of grain should be selected from the seed plot and pulled by hand and placed in a protected place to cure until ready to be threshed in a sack by means of a flail. This is for next year's seed plot. These plants should be selected for their superiority. They must bo of the required variety, heavy yielding, yield-ing, of uniform heads, and ripening. They should show strength, be disease-resistant, and having grown under un-der the same conditions as all the other plants. |
