Show DON'T SELL THE FAMILY COW This mieht annear to manv to be a good time to sell the family cow or the family dairy herd, because prices for cows are high and it is easy to sell; but suppose you do sell? What is gained? Prices for milk and butter but-ter are high seem higher when you buy than when you sell. Perhaps we are crossing the "stream" referred to by Abraham Lincoln when he advised ad-vised against swapping horses while crossing a stream. In any case, will it not be better if the family cow and the family dairy are kept by those who know how to make them most productive? |
