Show LOCAL MEN IN NEWOIL CO. We are pleased to learn of a new Oil Company composed of a number of local people and some prominent men from Nevada. The Company is the Mohave Oil Company, a Utah corporation cor-poration and owns some very choice acreage in the Dixie field. Its officers offi-cers feel very confident of the success suc-cess of tihe new venture and rncent developments in the Moab and Dixie fields would indicate that the Company Com-pany has every chance for success. The new company is very fortunate fortu-nate in that it has a very substantial group of backers and officers. Mr. G. Q. Quigley of Tonopah, Nevada Ne-vada is the president and director. Mr. C. w. Brandon, Mr. J. B. Witt and Mr. Charles Taylor of Goldfield are directors. The above named gentlemen are very prominent in the mining world in Nevada and are much experienced in the venture about to be undertaken undertak-en by the new compnay. Mr. W. J. Russell former State ' Senator in Wyoming is director and geologist for the company. Mr. Rns-sell Rns-sell has been in the field almost continually con-tinually for the last three years and is confident that the Dixie held 'offers a wonderful opportunity for development develop-ment and he feels most certain that ibe next year w;!l witness the bringing bring-ing in of many rood wells in t.ho Dixie field. We might lay that V.r. Russell has had much experience in the Geology of Oil formations and his opinion is no doubt of much value The company is fortunate in having the advise and counsel of a man bo well versed in such matters. Mr. R. H. Barton, casihier of the First National Bank of Beaver City, is secretary and treasurer and a director. di-rector. Mr. Russell E. Parsons, County Attorney At-torney of Beaver County is Vice-Pres ident and Director. Thiscompany is formed after long and thorough examination of the Dixie field and the officers feel confident con-fident that they are taking but little lit-tle chance of ultimate success and recent re-cent developments in this and adjoining ad-joining fields would indicate that Utah is a.bout to take her. place among the great Oil Producing sections sec-tions of the country. We are advised that the company is fortunate in that it will be so financed hat they may make an earnest and extensive development de-velopment campaign and we are told that they expect to be drilling in the next ninety days. |
