Show LEONORA PROPERTY GETTING GOOD ORE After making, a careful inspection of the Leonora mine, Star district, Beaver county, M. E. West the well known mining man and a member of the Rideout company, said yesterday yester-day that he was highly pleased with existing conditions and the apparent certainty that improvement would continue with each day of development develop-ment work. Mr. West said that in the lower workings winzs No. 1, now down about eighteen feet, there is about five feet of ore, with a rich streak one foot thick from which the miners min-ers Sunday took out Bamples showing native silver. This winze is expected expect-ed to reach a domolite bed within the next 20 feet, it being the belief of Superintendent Nebeker that a big body of paying ore will be opened open-ed at this point, this being the connection con-nection with the north-south break with the east-west fissure. In No. 2 winze the ore is making mak-ing in the beds, which are dipping to the east at about 35 degrees. In the opinion of the superintendent the sinking of a winze about twenty-five feet further in the west drift will catch the ore body on its dip. Years ago, in the upper workings of the property, shipment of ore that averaged 3000 ounces of silver to the ton was made and it is expected ex-pected that development at depth will open up bodies of ore equally as rich.
