Show IRRIGATION CO. ELECTS BOARD At the postponed annual meeting of the stockholders of the Beaver County Irrigation Company held last Saturday at the company's office the following directors were elected for the ensuing year: Frederick Steig-meyer, Steig-meyer, Win. Story, Charles D. Pen-niston, Pen-niston, Walter Hall and Solomon Walker. The first two named gentlemen gen-tlemen compose the well known law firm of Story & Steigmeyer of Salt Lake City, who have had charge of the legal business of the company and also of the parent corporation, Delta Land & Water Company, since organization. Mr. Penniston is assistant as-sistant treasurer of the corporation located at Delta. Messrs. Walker and Hall are well known residents of Minersville. As the Delta-Land & Water Co. holds by proxies and otherwise oth-erwise nearly all of the outstanding stock the directorate is elected by the company's representative, in this case, Miss Stringer, secretary. There was a large attendance of local settlers who showed much interest in-terest in the proceedings. Their special interest was in the policy of the Delta Land & Water Company regarding the interest and payments now due for water stock. No announcement, an-nouncement, however, was made and the meeting was adjourned at the request of Miss Stringer to Saturday, Sat-urday, Feb. 2, at 2 p. m., at which time it is expected that the new board will "be ready to meet the settlers set-tlers and confer. |
