Show LEO WHITE The body of Leo White was taken to Beaver where a military funeral was held. A large number of Soldiers and Sailors and Marines and friends met the funeral procession on the out skirts of Beaver and escorted the body to the front of the court house where an out door service was held. The principal speakers were Bros. McShane and Tolton, who paid glowing glow-ing tributes to the young soldier hoy. After the services the body was accompanied to its final resting place in Mountain View cemetery, by his comrades in arms who acted as guard of honor. At the grave, a military salute was fired, taps sounded and all that was mortal of a true patriotic young man was consigned to its last long resting place, but his memory goes marching on. The floral offerings were many and very beautiful, especially es-pecially so, were pieces from the War Mothers and his school friends. A sad part of this funeral was that neither mother nor father were able to attend, as his mother had just undergone a very serious operation in a Salt Lake hospital and his .father .fath-er was with her. A large number of friends and relatives rel-atives accompanied the body from here. |
