Show MILl'OKl) VISITOR'S POINTED CRITICISM Western Weekly, Milford, Utah: While I am a stranger within your midst, I have been here long enough to note several features of public life which should be improved. For instance, your streets are very dirty. You seem to have no garbage service. ser-vice. Automobiles are allowed to run without any attention being paid to the speed limit, an instance of which I saw recently, a cripple being xun over in daylight. The dirt and filth in your back alleys attract flies and mosquitos, a menace to public health. It seems as though a city which calls itself progressive, should see that the city commission would do their sworn duty; i. e., to protect the citizens of the town of Milford from such annoyances. A stranger who wishes to settle here is biased by the conditions of the city in which he may wish to invest. I think you should start a campaign at once to rid the city of Milford of such unnecessary un-necessary filth without delay, and build for a cleaner town at once. Respectfully yours for a cleaner city, Frank Morris, Lansing, Mich. |
