Show o j Alleged Thieves Arrested Long Suspected Men Finally Nabbed Said to Have Been "Caught With the Goods" William B. and son, Willis J. Brum-ley, Brum-ley, residing to the north of Frisco, on a mountain clearing near what is known as "Three Kilns" were arrested last Saturday night by Sheriff Cutler and deputy, on a charge of having "lifted" a calf from the Hickman "bunch" and of slaughtering it for their o,vn use. While this is the specific charge brought at this time, it is said that there are other charges pending against the Brumleys, and, according to report, the entire family-has family-has been suspected for some years, of general thievery. It is even claimed that stolen property has been found in their possession. In the present instance in-stance the arresting officers seem to have a clear case, as the bide aud some of the meat of the animal alleged to have been stolen, are said j to have been found in the Brumley's j possession. The officers have hen jkeen in there endeavor to catch the imen with "the goods'' and havei watched them closely, but up to Sat-jurday Sat-jurday n:ght, were unable to get t tangible proof against them. In default of 1000 bail, the men were taken to the county jail to await trial. The other meml en of the Brumley family, consisting of a mother and seven children, all small, are encamped en-camped south of town in a tent, and are said to be in want. County authorities author-ities are being called upon to care for them. If this is not forthcoming, the family will not be allowed to suffer. A |
