Secretary Baker informed in-formed Chaiiinan Dent of the house military affairs committee Friday that the war department had decided that all discharged soldiers may permanently perman-ently retain the uniforms and overcoats over-coats they wear when mustered out. Mr. Dent prepared a bill embodying the necessary authority. Previously the department had planned to have the clothing returned to the government govern-ment three months after a soldier's discharge. |
