Show MILFORD BALL lEAMJHAMPS. After a run of hard luck in the first inning, Milford won the county championship from Beaver with a score of 9 to 5. With a hundred dollar stake looming loom-ing at the ball game in Beaver last Friday afternoon, Beaver started the game like a cyclone, making three scores the, first inning, and continued contin-ued the lead until the fifth when the Milford bunch found the pitcher and kept the Beaver fielders chasing chas-ing the pill until another tosser was brought up. There wej;e many errors made during the game, on both sides, but it was a good game never the less and was hard fought for. Harry Coon and George Atkin are deserving of special mantionfor the way they handled the hat. The game was witnessed by more than twelve hundred people. A |
