Show SALT LAKE ROUTE NOTES Last Monday evening at about 6 p. m. west bound extra 3645, conductor con-ductor Meneary and engineer Dear-ing Dear-ing came to a full stop at the D. & R. G. crssirig at Provo, gave two blasts of the whistle and proceeded. Just befor the rear end of their train had cleared the D. & R. G. : crossing, passenger train No. .2 of i the D. & R. G. came up to the crossing cross-ing at a very high rate of speed with j two engines. The train failed to stop with the result that it cut the Salt Lake Route train in two, turning turn-ing over a couple of cars and caus- j ing considerable damage to other, cars and track. Fortunately no one : was injured. It is said that the j cause of the accident is chargeable 1 to air hose becoming kinked on the ! D. & R.
