Show NAT C. GOODWIN IS DEAD. Noted American Actor Ends Long Career Ca-reer on Stage. New York. Nat C. Goodwin, the noted actor, died early Friday, January Janu-ary 31, at the Hotel Claridge, at the age of 01. . An operation on one of Mr. Goodwin's Good-win's eyes in a New York hospital recently re-cently was followed by a complication Df ailments from which he suffered until un-til stricken Saturday by a complete physical breakdown. He had gone to Philadelphia from Baltimore, where he made his last stage appearance with his company ui "Why Marry?" but was too ill to continue with his work in the Quaker city. Goodwin was born in Boston July 25, 1S57, and first faced the footlights March 5, 1873. He had been married five times and was contemplating the sixth matrimonial venture when he was stricken. |
