Show South American Trade Growing. New York. Demands of American business interests for the development of South American commerce are receiving re-ceiving responsive attention on the part of the United States shipping board, as shown by a recent report indicating in-dicating that a large percentage of American-controlled shipping is now in that trade. Under date of February 25 it is shown that 208 vessels, aggregating aggre-gating 1,103,921 deadweight tons, have been allocated to South American service, ser-vice, supplementing a considerable amount of shipping controlled by private pri-vate interests. |
