Show v WILL ABANDON BOUNTY SYSTEM State and Federal Government AVill Employ Hunters to Destroy Wild Animals Under the present system of bounties boun-ties on coyotes, rabbits, etc., the incentive in-centive is for the few dollars a hunter hunt-er may earn. The object should be to rid the country of the pests. Utah will probably abandon the bounty system as a means of ridding its boundaries of predatory wild animals, ani-mals, as the result of a conference held by F. B. Hammond, grand county coun-ty member of the lower house. G. K. Holman. an inspector in the United States biological survey; C. P. Stewart, Stew-art, secretary of the Utah Wool-i Wool-i growers' Association and Dr. T. T'. Beatty. secretary of the State Board of Health. A bill will likely he introduced into the lower house soon calling for the employment of skilled hunters, to be assigned to a certain district. in which they will stay at their work until the extinction of the predatory animals is accomplished.
