Show SURPRISE PARTY A surprise party was given in honor hon-or of Glenn D. James Wednesday evening at his home on observation . hill. It was arranged very nicely to have Mr. James called away at the right moment so that the surprising party might secret themselves in the house, when Mr. James was suddenly sudden-ly advised that he was wanted at home. On his arrival at home he found the following young people in a dark room: Misses Annet Schow, Ethel Schow, Thelma Tanner, Vera White, Idona White, Tennie Selln. Inez Williamson, Amy Thelssen, Bessie Bes-sie Earl, Estella Griffiths, Wada James, Lecm James, and Bernett Fotheringham, Jay McAllister, Cleve Bradfield, Wilson Moore, Lloyd Lee, Thomas James, Merrill Ernst, Nor-val Nor-val Elmer, James Bonner, Mrs. Ross Baxter, Mrs. Allen Hedges, Mrs. Geo. A. Trent ahd Mrs. D. B. James. Lady winning first prize, locating place to pin on the donkey's tail, Miss Thelma Tanner, one wooden mixing set. Lady winning second prize, Inez Williamson, one sour pickle. Gentleman winning first prize, Bernett Fotheringham, one little Ford automobile (very little). . Gentleman winning second prize, Jay McAllister, one sour pickle. The tables were nicely decorated and loaded with good things to eat. Miss Estella Griffiths entertained the young people with many beautiful beauti-ful songs and recitations. Stolen sweets were freely exchanged ex-changed in the game of post office. |
