Show DEFENSE SOCIETY STATES AFTER WAR AIMS Witb a view to creating a greater America, announcement is made today to-day by Charles Stewart Davison Chairman of the board of Trustees of which Mrs. Julia A. Smithson is local chairman of the. Women's National Committee, of the permanent aims of the Society. This national patriotic Society of citizens has in the past worked for a greater Americanism add through the distribution of literature liter-ature written by the most prominent writers in the country on various phases of the war, and public speak-'ng speak-'ng by men well known in the country coun-try and abroad, hac urged the pushing of the war to a victorious conclusion. The Society is governed by a board of trustees and by an executive committee com-mittee appointed from the board of trustees, all of whom are giving their services free.
